Washington is a small town about 50 miles southeast of Athens, GA. It is a wonderful little town with a lot of history and a great downtown square, replete with architecture going back a hundred years, the recently restored Fitzpatrick Hotel being the centerpiece. Friends of ours are co-owners of the hotel and after learning of the purchase of the MG invited our participation in the cruise. I gladly accepted and am glad I did so. Not only was it a fun filled afternoon and evening with great music, a variety of rides, hot dogs and hamburgers, but also a chance meeting with a local resident who happened to have a '66 Midget for sale.
