Here is an opportunity to own and enjoy a piece of racing history, not stored away in a museum, but on the track doing what it was intended to do. This car’s successful racing career spanned 1970 through 1982 (see vintage photos above). Owned, built, and campaigned by Paul Cameron it held the class track record at Waterford Hills Road Racing Track in Clarkston, MI for three years running and won every H-Production race entered for over two years (’77 and ’78).

After the owner’s retirement from racing it spent the next 20 years in dry storage; it was then pulled out, updated to current SCCA specs, and raced by Curt Fisher of Sterling, IL during the 2004 and 2005 seasons (see photos below).

I purchased the car and moved it to Athens, GA in summer, 2006 with the intention of making the car street legal. Upon learning more about the history of the car and the quality of the build, I just didn’t have the heart to do it; it deserves to remain a race car. Consequently I’m currently restoring a ’62 Sprite for street use.

So, here’s a car that you can buy today and go racing next weekend, or, you could spend $15,000+ and a LOT of time and build one. The car will be sold with a Bill of Sale (Georgia does not issue titles to cars prior to 1965). A deposit of $500 (PayPal preferred) will be due within 36 hours of a firm commitment with payment in full (cash) due on delivery of the vehicle within 10 days. Obviously there are no warranties expressed, implied, or otherwise. I will work with the purchaser to assure a satisfactory delivery. A purpose built single axle trailer (click on 'trailer' to see photos) is available separately for $500 as an option. Alternatively, I can deliver the car via an enclosed car trailer for $1 per mile. If you have your own trailer, I will be happy to assist in loading.
